There's not a lot of choice for a clever, cool or impressive title for a collection of useful programming items such as the ones here, so I'm afraid the title it's got will have to do. Luckily for everyone, the content of this site doesn't quite fall into the same category.
Most things here are really quite clever and impressive. (Only the fun things are cool.)

I'm currently a student at Norwich City College, U.K., in the process of studying towards a recognised computing qualification. I have found programming to be somewhat difficult to understand, as at this college, and I'm sure at many others, it's accepted that most students have at least a background knowledge of programming in one form or another, in C, or whatever. Consequently, the course caters to these people and not to the uninitiated student like myself. I came into this scenario cold, having only ever messed about with 'Mallard Basic' on an old PCW (and I do mean messed.) Not the most useful of groundings and anyway, Basic is completely different to anything else I'm ever likely to use or want to use. I'd only heard of 'C' and other languages purely in passing.

I thought to myself, "what's out there on the 'Net' that can help me" and I started to do some surfing. There are absolutely humungous amounts of tutorials flying around in the ether to do with any number of different programs and programming languages you can think of, many of which are far too advanced for a poor slob like me. But...(Aha! I hear you say)...there are some suitable ones too! Yea Verily! So what I'm trying to do here is to introduce you to the ones I found most suitable for my needs as well as yours. Nice, eh?

Please bear in mind I haven't been through every site by a long way, and only a few of the best are here at present, but I'll be adding more as and when I find the more suitable programming tools and tutorials. I hope you find them useful and that they'll give you hours of self induced "I never used to understand that!" or "Well, how about that!"-itis.

And just to get you really worried, have you got a C compiler yet?......A WHAT!!!? Take a look in the tools section, you're bound to find one there. I didn't know what it was either.

While you're here, feel free to use 'Dogpile', my favourite meta search engine just below, and take a trip to some of my colleague's sites too. They're cool, they're interesting, and some have fantastic offers on Sports Kit, Web Design, Handwriting Analysis, Cheap Domain Names, etc. They're just below the 'Dogpile' search engine!
